At discovery time on Friday afternoons we are doing all sorts of learning. This Friday we experimented with colour mixing by using pipettes to pick up blue, yellow and red coloured water and drop it into cups to find out what colours we could make. We worked out that it was very easy to make green and orange however purple was more tricky to create! We also experimented with painting on a big sheet of paper using vehicles and dinosaurs, this made a beautiful creation. Water play is always a hit on warm Fridays and is one of our favourite things to do, this week we used sponges in the water. All of these activities are helping us to develop our fine motor skills, work collaboratively and problem solve.
