Skye's crafts

Skye has been really enjoying doing lots of craft work, using a range of different materials.

The dolphin and dog head she made by using beads which fuse together when sprayed with water. The dolphin was a pattern she followed and she made up the dog head all by herself.

The other things are polystyrene shapes that she has painted.

We also had a go at dying flowers, as Skye had seen someone else's on the blog and wanted to have a go as well.

The pasta shapes were good for using the imagination to create all sorts of things.

Skye also made a house for Arnie the doughnut from the book. All made from cardboard and comes complete with a plant, a bed, a cat picture and table.

The mushroom character is made from polymer clay.

  3. Hello Skye,
I love to see all your amazing work, you have been very busy!
I really like your dolphin and dog models, I’m thinking it must have been very fiddly to do.
I have tried dyeing flowers myself, it didn’t work 🙁. I wonder what I was doing wrong.
    Yours look beautiful!

    1. Hi Penny, we tried two at the same time, one was liquid colouring which worked well and the other was gel colour and that didn't work. So not sure if it was because it was liquid and not gel or that it was a stronger colour - but don't give up :)
