Visiting the School Garden

Today the Kikorangi and Kakariki group writers went to visit our school garden. We explored the garden and saw what was growing really well. There was so many tomatoes and we enjoyed tasting the juicy sweet cherry tomatoes. The pears on the tree are nearly ready and we are looking forward to tasting them soon too. We also saw potatoes, carrots, spring onions, brussel sprouts, sweetcorn, rainbow silverbeet, strawberries, courgettes, broccoli and cabbages. We took some photos and are going to write a letter to Mr Rob, who has been unwell with a back injury, to let him know what is happening in the garden at the moment.

    2. Ata marie,
You are very welcome, I really enjoyed looking at your blog. In my garden I have lots of weeds growing currently! I do have some beautiful roses blooming though. That would be awesome! I won't be back until next term, but if you have time in week one I'd love to visit.

  2. Hello
We love your vegetable garden, you have grown so many different vegetables.
Our mouths watered when we saw the strawberries!
Last week we harvested our sunflower seeds from our garden. We are drying them and next spring we are going to plant them. We will take some home to grow in our own gardens.
Do you grow sunflowers at your school?
