Ethan’s learning

Hey everyone!

Today I used the leaves and sticks I gathered yesterday to decorate the letters of my name. I had lots of fun doing this and thought it was such a cool project!

I have also been talking lots more about letters and the sounds they make. Because I love animals so much I have been matching animals to people's names. In our house he have me as Ethan Eagle, my sister as Zara Zebra, Daddy is Dave Dinosaur and Mummy is Kerry Kangaroo. I have also been thinking up animals to match some of my friends names.

  1. Ethan - thank you so much for sharing your fun learning - I wonder if you could come up with some names for the teachers too? That would be funny! I think you are keeping Mummy very busy :) Maybe people could comment on this with their own animals that start with the same letter sound as their name.

  5. Hi Ethan, Mrs Wales here. Thank you for sharing your amazing name picture with us. It looks like you found lots of good bits when you went on your leaf hunt! Your animal names for yourself and your family are very clever, you are doing a great job at thinking about your sounds. My last name already sounds a bit like an animal! When I got married I became Mrs Wales. The name comes from the country Wales but lots of the children at Wigram Primary School think I'm named after the whales in the sea!
